Dvd shrink used to open after I got done making the files and I could insert the dvd to finish it. I do not get the same quality dvd out of nero or I would use it to burn with. I have deleted the other dvd shrink and downloaded it again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Do you mean the drive won't open?

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

I'm assuming you mean the after shrink completed the transcoding process, the drive would open and you would be prompted to insert blank media to burn the video files onto?

It 'sounds' like you used nero to autoburn with at some point and had shrink set to do that, but you don't want to use nero so you made some changes and or got rid of nero.

If you're working with a fresh install of shrink, then it's set to run with it's default setting, so you'll need to change and add some things.

In shrink's preferences you have several options for what you want done with the files after shrink is done with them:
1) autoburn with nero
2) autoburn with dvddecrypter (or can be set to use imgburn)
3) save the files to your hard drive

If you want that DVD tray to open and ask for media and don't want to use nero, then option 2 is what you want.

Install DVDdecrypter and set shrink to create and iso image file and burn with DVDdecrypter.

I'll stop here if it's the auto burn process is what you're looking for.
