The Ray Bradbury Theatre dvd has 13 episodes, over 5 hours. I think full backup was 4.6, episodes roughly 350 meg. I get the message from DVD Shrink that it is too big for a dvd. How do I make a few episodes still pictures or images? Do I need another program? I have the full backup on hd and would like to make 2 dvds to include the whole series. Very little megs of extras.

easy solution is to use a dual layer disc.if not try using the reauthor option on dvd shrink and eliminate the extras.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Yeah I'm with ZOSO on this one. Do 2 episodes at a time and there won't be compression. 5 hours compressed to fit a SL blank won't be worth watching. You might also use CloneDVD to easily uncheck anything you want left off a disc. Do it in multiple disc either way. SL Discs are cheap.
Or Nemo has the easiest- DL DVD

Thanks for all the different advice. I think that I was making the problem harder than it is because I have never reauthored and have always used automatic for compression. I just assumed that all the bup, ifo, vob files had to be there. The eposodic dvd had very few if any ifo and bup files and I wasn't sure how dvd shrink would handle it. Is it better to just select the vob files or select all the vob files and
then make still pictures or images of the vob files that won't fit? Will I have a clickable menu either way? I do have some fresh Verbatim
DVD+R DL. So I guess I will reauthor and use dual layer for the first time.{:} Two different projects. Why not make it three projects and do a dvd rebuilder for the first time?

DVD Rebuilder works up to a certain % of compression then it will pixel out, i think its around 45% to 50% is all you can push it.
I'm not positive but i don't think you can save the menus using the re-author mode with dvd shrink.
dvdclone is the best/easiest for episode DVDs
using DVD+R DL blank media will work great but its alot more expensive 1.80 each compared to a (dvd-5) DVD+/-R being 25 cents or less

If you're going to go the dual layer route, use Verbatims and Imgburn as it has an easier time setting the layer break.

That's the only way I will burn a Verb DL; and letting Imgburn select the LB is 100% for me.

That's not only the only way i'll venture to burn a DL (which i don't do often due to cost of blank media) that's the only way i'll recommend. :)
