first of all i am new to this site and the ps3 so bare with me, i just need a couple of questions solving!

1.the games you can download from the shop, can they be downloaded as a torrent and booted from a usb drive?

if so can i download ps2 and ps1 games and boot them from usb drive?

2. when watching movies for example and want to boot them from usb do i have to put them in a 'movies' folder in the root of the usb?

1)PS3 back ups cannot be played,as you are new to the PS3,im not sure that you will have a backwards compatable console,if you dont,then you wont,be able to play PS2 back ups.
If you managed to get a BC console,then yes you can load them from an external device.

2)No you dont have to put them in ma movies folder,however,you will have tp press triangle and select all to view any content on a USB device,any external device has to be formated to FAT.
