Ok I really need help becasue I have wasted over 10 DVD+R and am really getting frustrated. I have windows Vista. I started out by purchasing Daniusoft DVD Video Converter Pack. This enabled me to burn a DVD to my hard drive. Then I got a file from a friend which contained Nero 7 and DVD Shrink. The Nero 7 had a problem installing, so I downloaded a trial of Nero 9 and got a serial number for it. I then was able to use DVD Shrink to burn the movie from my HD to the DVD. The problem arose when I downloaded an update for Nero 9. My computer wouldn't load Nero, so I got a new hard drive and redownloaded Nero. Nero now works fine, however when I try to use DVD Shrink and re-author a movie it says to install Nero to burn. I tried running it as administrator, however it still will not work.
I am sorry this is so long, but I did not want to leave anything out. I hope someone is able to help me! Thank you!
You are not the only one with that problem. I once had the identical problem and the solution for me was to use an older version of Nero. I went back to Nero 6.3.3 and it worked just fine. Something in the newer versions of Nero is stopping DVD shrink from working with the newer Nero programs.
I hope this helps you understand your problem your facing.

Nero 7 Essentials came with my lightscribe burner and the shop went ahead and installed it.. Thought I'd take a look at the new version on the trial.. It completely corrupted the Microsoft Intellipoint & Intellitype software for my wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse... Tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, still wouldn't work.. Uninstalled Nero completely with Revo Uninstaller and still couldn't get it to work.. Had to actually do a system restore to before Nero and then re-install the software before I could get the keyboard and mouse to work again.
Nero says their software would NEVER change another vendor's files and tried to tell me that I must have downloaded a virus, etc.. So, just for grins and giggles, tried to install it again (set a new restore point directly beforehand so I wouldn't have to update anything else) and guess what... SAME THING HAPPENED..
More important to me to have my keyboard and mouse than to have the newest version of their software.. Besides, nothing is really better than ImgBurn!!!
