Alright folks. I have ran into another snag with DVD Shrink. It is still a killer program but I don't understand how any little thing makes it not work properly. My wife downloaded some screensavers and Shrink went crazy. SO, I had to reformat my C: again. Now the program works all the way up until its time to burn it with Nero. It asks for blank media to start burning. I put a disk in and it ejects back out and says that the disk that I just put in does not have enough space for this compilation.(sp) I have been using the same Ritek disk and burned about 20 movies with these disk using Shrink. What am I doing wrong now?
I had a similar problem when running Nero and this is how I made it got away. I take it you have Windows XP. If you do, Windows XP has an IMAPI CD-Burning service which manages CD recording. My Nero kept conflicting with something and it happened to be this service. After I disabled it, Nero works like a charm. You could be experiencing the same. Here is how to disable the IMAPI service. Go to Start-Run- type services.msc and on the new window find IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service, double-click on it and disable it. I hope this works for you.
I tried that and it still will not work. I am so mad at myself. I bought the Nero program and installed it with the disc and I could burn perfect copies using Shrink. Well, when I had to reformat my C: I had to reinstall it and I can't find the paper with the activation code to save my life. So now I installed the Nero demo that is posted on this site and that when I started to get the error message saying that my "DVD-R does not have enough space for this compilation." I wish it were a way to get a new activation code.

You should be able to contact Nero and work it out with any of the e-mail reciepts you got when you bought it or a credit card billing statement showing you paid for it.

Hi BigChief, What download version of Nero are you working with. the early versions of Nero 6 had some problems. I think the latest version is 6316 or close to that. If you have an earlier version, uninstall it and use the latest. It may correct the problems. The 1st couple of versions wouldn't accept my serial number to open the complete Ultra program. After several updates it worked like it was suppose to.
