i am trying to back up an episodic dvd.
the program rips the disc ok.
it then trys to burn the disc and after aboput 20 secs, come up with finalizing and then tells me there is a dvd error.
i am running windows xp, samsung sm-308b dvd rom, nec 1100 dvd writer, nero 6, no roxio software(that i know of!!)
on dvdxcopy gold i could use the nero burning engine to burn the dvd's, but i cannot see that option on platinum.

anyone help me????

please use a rw disc and then select simple mode.
check the "entire disc" feature
