Problems with DVD Shrink and DVD XCopy Xpress

Hi everybody. I bought a Creative DVD Burner, and some blank DVDs and I started backing up my DVDs. I was using DVD XCopy Xpress and everything was fine ( beside the DVD-Backup message ), but when I got to two of my favorite movies ( Papillon and Duplex ) they read but when they got to 100% I got an "Error reading sectors" the DVDs are brand new, no scratches etc. Somebody told me to try DVD Shrink ank I did, but I got the copy protected message, somebody else told me to use AnyDVD along with DVD Shrink, and it worked, it read the DVD but didn't burn. So if anyone of you can help me....please !!!!! I am feeling so frustated now. Thanks in advance !

Use DVD Decrypter to rip , then use DVD Shrink ... should work ;-)

hang on in there , as I've seen numerous ppl get frustrate and holla that they're thinking of sending DVD writer back , only to find success & wish they'd not be so rash in their comments - lol

Help needed with DVDxCopy can be found here : http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com

(You'd be better off w/ DVD Shrink IMHO though)

Wow !!! This is the best forum I have ever been to. Less than 5 minutes and my message was edited, and got two replies alreay...Thanks !!!
Ok, I now am less than a newbie but what ripping exactly means? why should I use both DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink? Can I just rip and burn it using only DVD Decrypter?

err NO !;P)

DVD Decrypter does nothing to compress a DVD-9 to fit on a 4.37Gb blank media , so therefore DVD Shrink comes into affect.
Both software are free , so no need to panic (lol)
If you have a DVD-5 (under 4.37Gb) you can then just ISO read the DVD w/ DVD Decrypter & then ISO write which is really nice & easy ... but most DVD's are over 4.37Gb.
I normally extract movie-only myself , saving video quality by not having menu + extras:)
