Rip with Decrypter burn with Shrink and Nero

I have a DVD9 that shrink will not rip. I know that Decrypter will rip it. I am looking for a guide that will explain How to rip a movie with decrypter and then allow Shrink to compress it and Nero to burn it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanx

hiya edgex,

I'm assuming from your post that you are happy with using shrink and Nero and you dont need any tips on those.

as for decrypter all you need to do is......
1) set up a folder on hd to store the ripped image.
2)launch decrypter
3)click on mode tab then select file.
4) make sure source is set for the drive where you have the original disc in. then set destination to the folder you just created.
5) click on the "dvd to hd" icon at the bottom of the window on let decrypter do its business.
6) when this has finished, opeb shrink in usual way but this time select open files option and browse to the folder you just stored your image in, then proceed as normal with shrink and your away!!!!!

viper, thanx for a quick reply, but I'm not able to open the files with shrink either. I have a ISO image file and a MDS file. There are no Video TS files. This is the first time that I'm ripping with Decrypter and trying to reauthor the movie. Any further ideas?

re rip it again in the file mode as my buddy viper suggested.shrink doesnt work on iso files,unless ive been missing something.you can make iso files with dvd shrink but it wont shrink iso's

as my friend jim so rightly says you'll have to rip the film again with decrypter but make sure it is set in the file mode.
