yeah without spaces is right, these 6230bs are a pain in the arse, all the forums have problems with them!

put another sim in it (orange,tmobile etc) it will come with a message if its locked to the 02 network, if it does press undo, then you can enter your codes in the box
try code 7 from this list

Thanks jpp, but it didn't work for me, or I did something wrong.
I'm getting 'code error' message, after I try code 7.
What I was wondering is: do I have to type a space as in:
#pw+19 21 64 31 40 43 57 3+7#
between each set of 2 digits? If yes, how can I do it?
I got 2 'code error' messages.

Hi, a friend of mine is seeking a Restriction code to unlock his Uk nokia 6230. Currently it is on Orange but he wants to put an o2 sim card in it. When he puts his sim card in he is asked for a restriction code. Coul you find this for me?
(if i need the IMEI number where do i find it?)

jpp01uk, If you can't unlock a 6230b, is there a way to have it done? Cingular (USA) tells me that this is what they are selling in the USA market. I also see many 6230b's on e-Bay for sale that are unlocked. Wondering how they got it unlocked.

you can do it but people i speak to on forums are being tight lipped about the settings needed to unlock it, you have to understand that for some people this is there lively hood and its a popular phone
so if im doing them on here for free then there losing out, so they wont tell me the settings :(
as far as i know the settings are the same, except code 1 should unlock it, but it doesnt work

my software didnt like your IMEI number at all, kept saying it was invalid
check it before you use the codes, code 7 should unlock it for you

u said in one of ur other replies that u do it without the sim card in, is that what i have to do coz when i turn it on without the sim card in it doesnt prompt me for the restriction code, just tells me to insert sim. sorry for bein so brainless!!

you should still be able to type
if not then put in the sim card you want to unlock it too, it will say something like "sim restricted" click undo you then can type the codes in
