i dunno if mine is a fake cuz it says on my fw 2.71 ta082 that it holds 1914mb somewhwere there and i bought it from canada Futureshop and its a:

my mate bought a fake 2gb from ebay..... the MS light keeps flashing and it wont read the stick. how can we fix this?

oh i dunno my mates is afke sony and his works thou?!?! the other ont that dnt work...works when i put it in my PC's card reader..it says 1.90 gb left?

yes, it is heat sealed and has the genuine sony seal.

I recently bought a psp in china, a 2 gig memory stick came with it, it's been fine until now,
Basically it's running really slowly on the computer, for example opening a folder or something it would take 5-10 seconds instead of instantly, also transfer speeds have been crazily slow, someone as big as save data is estimating to take 5 mins, and freezing the comp, Right now (as in everysingle time i have tried) it stuffs up and i get a incorrect parameter problem or a I/O error,
the thing is that this only happens when i'm running it on the computer, looking at photos was no problem on the psp (i didn't try an iso)
There's already a 90% chance that it's a fake, i just want to know if there's anyway of fixing it.
(i tried reformating, that doesn't help)

I'm beginning to think that you can't homebrew with a 4gb on 1.5
Not because its a fake, but just because. I have a 4gb and when I drag emulator files to it, it doesn't work. Yes, it is a 1.5 Now, according to the guide, it would be a fake one right? I transfer a 4gb movie to it, and it took it. At the end of when it filled up, it give that full message. Isn't this normal ? It has 3878mb free when formated.

when you look at how much space is on it can you see if it says 2GB or something around it? where did you buy it?

Since the seller claims that it is a Sony stick, and his feedback is not private, the memory sticks are most likely legit. Even if they aren't, you can get your money back by proving that it is fake (because he claimed it was real). Beware of the sellers that do not claim their sticks are Sony or Sandisk.

ok i contacted him but no response yet.Hopefully i receive it by this week so i can know if it is a fake or not. Thanks for replying to my ?

I noticed those too, but according to the eBay guide its the normal staples down the side. I guess I could just wait to get one from a retailer, but I don't have a single stick yet! Anways, the guide is linked in the eBay description in my last post. Thanks.
