Help! Can anyone give me a guide for installin FW 3.02 properly?
I've already emulated 3.01 just now.
My PSP is downgraded to 1.5fw , using DevHook 0.51 to emulate 3.01
Can someone teach me how to install fw 3.02?

i could only get a hold of the 20gb console i have to wait for the world wide network to open Q1 2007 before i can use remote play

Well you go to the playstation store on your PS3. Then you add the psx game to the cart. It will not let you start the download unless your PSP has 3.01+. (i used devhook). The games cost $5.99. The game is 500mb (about). It does not load on devhook though currently. it brings up the precuations message then powers off.

So u downloaded the Crash Bandicoot game for ur PSP but could not play it?
Did u downloaded the game(finish)?
Hey my 3.02 update file is still downloading, quite slow though.
one more thing, do u know what the Certificate Ultility is for ?

The EBOOT file finished downloading,
Csn i know wat name should the file be named?
A."EBOOT.PBD"
or
B."EBOOT.PBP"?
.PBD or .PBP?
I am confused! Help me Jared plss!!

Hey Jared, the FW 3.02 didn't work!
Why?
Should i delete the previous 3.01 DH files, b4 i install 3.02fw?
It didn't work!I ran the program that installs 3.02 and it only saves 1 or 2 files only,
(I think b'cause i install it B4 and it didn't work too!)
Help Me! I am having a problem installing 3.02fw!!
What should i do now?
Should i remove the 3.01 file b4 installing 3.02?

tsk tsk tsk TRIPLE POSTING why didnt you just edit the first one??
and i think the EBOOT is supposed to be EBOOT.PBP not sure my devy 3.02 works perfect just dat some games dont work including bia d-day it loads up and everything but when i go to story mode it goes back to the psp menu and says the game could not be started :(
yh and i think on page seven or six of this thread eternalis uploaded a 3.02 installer and all you have to do is copy everything to your ms root(back up those important things first) and try re formating your psp befor you use the dh installer
lol when formatted my stick i forgot to back up my stuff lol so my ms got wiped out clean but atleast then devhook worked

the certificate utility is used as a DRM. it can be placed on up to 5 psps.

the problem i have is that i have installed devhook 0.51 properly but when i try to use it i get a black screen and the psp shuts any suggestions?

Plug in your AC adapter and load DevHook, then go to FLASH INSTALL->Install configfiles to flash1: and then hold the O button for 1 or 2 seconds. Then after the flashing it will say "press any button to return", just press any button to return to the menu. Now DevHook should work.

Yeah reverting back to 1.5 is possible (just turn off your PSP and turn it on again).
No, for firmware 3.02 check for the 3.02 DevHook installer mod which I posted somewhere in this thread.
EDIT: K here it is:
BTW I made a new DevHook 3.02 installer mod, download it from here:

In this one the previous problem of the ISO not showing up is fixed plus it uses the new DevHook 0.51.01.

do i need the 3.02 EBOOT in the root of my MS for the mod to work.
So i formatted my MS again, and im gonna try to get 3.02 running on my psp.
what do i need?

Yeah you have to download the 3.02 EBOOT and put it in the root of your memory stick. Everything else is included.
BTW Sorry about that, I know my site is down but I can't fix it because it is a problem with the host.

ok got 3.02 emulated perfectly thanks eternalis. 2 questions, are there any mods for devhook? and for users of fw 3.02 are their buttons supposed to be swapped?

I updated my guide on how to swap the buttons back to normal:
BUTTON SWAP
If you have found that when you emulate 3.02 and your buttons are swapped around (i.e X is cancel and O is select) then just download this pack:

(Thanks for hexitnow for uploading it)
Then just extract the rar file and copy the system.dreg and system.ireg to X:\dh\302\f1\registry\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP). Then your buttons should be back to normal now.
Note: This fix works for both the manual install and automatic install methods.
And there are mods for DevHook such as the screen capture mod as well as the several cheat devices for GTA.
