_KAZAA_
I wanted to give this a try - See if it helps everyone looking for answers regarding the specific topic of KAZAA *
Please fee free to post your questions &
information about Kazaa here -
Hopefully NEW USERS of KAZAA will be able
to get their basic information here - and
this thread can grow with NEW information
as time goes on *
Here is a link with BASIC INFO to help out
new users ~
http://www.kazaa.com/us/help/new_user.htm
NOTE * If you are downloading KAZAA for
the first time - I suggest You CAREFULLY
READ and CHECK or UN-CHECK boxes of anything
You want or don't want INSTALLED with your first installation of KAZAA *
They give You a choice - and Many people
simply don't take the time to 'NOT CHOOSE'
extra packaging within their first
installation *
_KAZAA-LITE_
If you are NEW to KAZAA - Please learn
the above information before questioning
KAZAA-LITE *
- For KAZAA users interested in KAZAA-LITE - ( Kazaa-Lite is the KAZAA file sharing
program - You make a few changes within the systems programs and if all works correctly you can have KAZAA without the ADS and what some refer to as SPY-WARE )
Personal note * I myself do not use K-LITE,
I have version 1.7.2. of KAZAA and LIKE IT
very much -
I have been told by some ex Kazaa-Lite users that they could never get K-LITE to
work correctly on their computers -
'BUGS' (mistakes) sometimes occur after
trying to convert KAZAA to Kazaa-lite *
To be fair, I have also been told by
some users of KAZAA-LITE that they love it
and have had no problems.
Again, I myself use regular KAZAA (version
1.7.2) and only see a pop-up AD a few times a day - and sometimes never *
Here is a LINK that I have found very
informative on K-LITE ~
http://kazaalite_69.tripod.com/kazaa/ ( Thanks to CandyMann_69 - for the info )
NOTE * If you are downloading KAZAA for
the first time - I suggest You CAREFULLY
READ and CHECK or UN-CHECK boxes of anything
You want or don't want INSTALLED with your first installation of KAZAA *
They give You a choice - and Many people
simply don't take the time to 'NOT CHOOSE'
extra packaging within their first
installation *
- Hope this helps out -

_ For anyone who has just installed the newest
version of KAZAA and doesn't want it - But
wants an older version ... just SEARCH out
an older version using Kazaa Search -
Then install and use the older version *
I personally like KAZAA version 1.7.2.
You can search it as ( KAZAA kmd172 )
- search for software
--- I'm posting this because I've had friends
tell Me that the newest version is not always letting them download as fast as version 1.7.2. *
That's why I am keeping version 1.7.2.
right now and not updating ~
GOOD LUCK ~

Download TMPGEnc here....
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/tmpgenc.cfm
and use the wizard to create Video-CD. Choose PAL if your in europe and NTSC if you're in America!
When the encoding finishes, use Nero Burning Rom!! When nero loads choose CD and click next - click "compile a new cd" and click next - Click "Other CD Format" and click next - Choose Video-CD and click next twice.
Now drag your mpg over to to compilation window. Clickl File - Write Cd!
Remember however that you can only fit the number of minutes your cd specifys onto a cd (eg 700mb 80min means 80 mins of vcd, Note also that 80mins of vcd is 800mb but it will still fit!!)
If your mpg is more than 800mb 80mins, then let me know and I'll tell you what to do!

Drop Imesh too and use Direct Connect. It's by far the best p2p program just a little harder to use!

I tried that a while back.Only just took it out yesterday. Was harder too use. Reason I didn't like it as well was, when I tried to use it the first time and didn't know what to do I was askin quetions in the hub. Didn't know it was a person answering til after the fourth question. which were all genuine questions. When I was told to shut up.So I did til somebody else spoke on the chat bit and I replied. Thinkin this other user might help me.
The next thing I new it comes up saying Dunga is being kicked because he is pissing me of.OH, and here is his ip **********.
Lets just say I wasn't too pleased. Used a few of the other hubs for a bit but still I thought it was a bit harder to understand.
Whoever that F**k*R was he put me right of. Shouldn't be allowed to give out some ones ip.
Whether I was pissing him off or not.
Just no tolerance for newbies I thought.
sorry I'm going on about it now. annoyed!!!

You've every right to be pissed off, He violated your privacy be displaying your ip to the entire hub! If you are extremely pissed, you can get this hub removed from Direct Connect by reporting this to Neo Modus.
Never mind people like that, you'll always run into people who think they know it all!! Most of tem, don't know a thing about filesharing or anything like that.
BTW, if you have questions on Direct Connect, post em here and you'll definelty get help!

Thanx Dela I can't even remember what hub it was now. Or I would report him.I have firewall installed anyway. Although if some one wants in that bad they'll get in. I have a load of ip's here that norton firewall has stopped getting in.It gives me their ip and I can check were abouts in the world they are from. Must have about 30 or so, but I don't know what to do with them all. I have them all wrote down on paper and I check everytime it happens to see if its the same people or person. Whether its cause he gave out my ip I dont know. I get 'attacked' every other day nearly. That I know of.
btw What about changing avi to MPGE, have a outstanding film here I want to put onto disc. Its DVD quality and its 1hr 43 mins long.Too big for the disc. And this 1 is 1 file. Were the others I have are 2 files.
cheers.

hi dela i finally got it, i had the TMPGEnc already i just thought it didnt work, but as far as the nero it was just wouldn't work for me but i had the recordnow max and i did it. i also learned how to cut because one movie had a couple of bad frames it keep freezing TMPGEnc, so if i get a movie longer than 80min i know what to do.

College security against kazaa is pretty good most of the time but a lot can be tricked by this simple method.
Open kazaa, click tools - options. Click the firwall tab. At the end you will see a port for incoming connections. Change it to whatever you like.
This little method has been defeated in a lot of colleges though but don't worry, crackers/hackers all over the net are working on it!!
