article published on 20 July, 2010

"As a bundle, you can get the new slim system and Kinect (with 'Adventures') for $300."

Which XBox slim that bundle come with? Might be a good deal if it is the 250GB one...

Sadly the bundle for $300 is only for the new arcade model with 4GB memory. So imo, I still don't think its a good deal; not a bad deal either, just in the middle.

It costs a lot and nobody wants it. It's like the iPad.

The new system will have 4GB of internal flash memory and matte finish and will launch August 3rd for $200.

Sounds like (at least at first) the slim will only be available in the "Arcade" version...I wonder if it will be able to make use of microsoft's overpriced hard drives if you ever want to use one.

Don't be silly, the new Xbox S (they do not actually call it a 'slim', it's just everyone else does) is about 2/3rds the size of the original.

I watched the E3 presentation from Microsoft, and there's really not much on Kinect that looked appealing. Kinect Adventures looks like it'd be a fun party type game, and I thought it was pretty cool how it would take pictures during the parts of the game where you'd have to jump.

Joy Ride looked kind of dumb. You hold up your hands like there's a steering wheel to control the car, but it looked like it handled about as good as Mario Kart Wii does using the wiimote as a steering wheel.

The dance game looks dumb, but I guess it's good for fat peoeple who want to lose weight. Then the rest of the games were just more fitness games.

I just don't see Kinect being a huge success. I think it's going to be about as popular as eyetoy was on the PS2.
