Cyclical Redundancy Errors With DVD Shrink Beta

What the heck does this error mean, and why do I get it so often when trying to rip DVDs? Is there anyway to prevent or override this error to get these DVDs ripped?

A CRC means your drive can't read part of the disc. This is typically caused by a dirty/scratched disc or sometimes a bad factory disc.

Try cleaning the discs and keep them scratch free and it couldn't hurt to upgrade to the latest version of Shrink if you're still using the beta version :)
