I don't know how this one will play out. Companies are already starting to round out a few tablets round Google's android OS. Now Google is about to round on Chrome OS for tablets it might be a difficult. Since Chrome OS is based on being a cloud OS device it make not be seeing great sales figures, unless so reports that I read stating that apps won't be installed on the devices. I think I read somewhere else that apps with be installed on the device so that it won't be cloud dependent. If it is cloud dependent it will be a bust.
The Chrome OS will tie in to the Android Market, it will run Android apps natively. Whats more Google will have total control of there OS, meaning if a HSA partner wants to release a Chrome OS device, Google wiull have the final say of the look and feel. Google wants to clap down on UI fragmentation.
Aside from all this I can tell you the Chrome UI is very polished and will surprise some by It's interface. In my opinion Chrome OS will make Apples iPad look and feel like a calculator. Google has put together something special here.
