remember that adults can act like kids too & vice versa. 1 of the finnish mods on this site is a teenager as an example of that vice versa.

thank you mub6 this was my original post, the console market is so cut throat that any edge that a company can use they probably eventually would.
im sure everybody with a ps3 who have bought 4 or 5 games wish they could use there torrent client or newsgroup reader to drag down an image or two on there unmetered superfast adsl line but due to current downloading restrictions imposed in the uk we would have to go back to the old method of swapping bluerays as 1 game would use your limit for a month.

i myself would welcome the shady release of a firmware hack and would rip a ps3 apart tomorrow to do so, i did so with my 360 as soon as the first firmware hack came out and i now use it as a door stop due to overheating 3rrod and using the bolt down method 2 months before the 3 year warrenty was offered.

this way microsoft have had my money twice

I would like the Ps3 to be hacked as much as the next guy but NOT FOR PIRACY. I'd just like to have the homebrew and not all the pirate crap that comes with it. On top of that now with Linux theres even less point to homebrew which im sure was Sony's reason for letting us do it in the first place. Pirating WILL ruin the Ps3, no matter how any of you little kids want to rationalize it.

lol@mub6...

I think padsta was p'ing everybody off. I attempted to diffuse his upbeat tempo and confronting style but as you can see he persisted which resulted in a sniper by the name of ddp taking him out.

Why didn't you restore the 360 to its physical factory conditions by putting the xclamp back in and send the console back to M$.........unless you damaged the case int the process?

I haven't searched for them yet, but I believe your word is true. I would think that they could be doing this for the future. I am sure that the PS3 will see a mod chip eventually. It's just a matter of time...

They are there so people can download them. I guess... Why they are downloading them... I got no idea since theses BluRay images are completly useless for now.

By the end of this year we will get a way to back up our PS3 games for sure... (or I hope so:).

But I am afraid that we will have to burn BR-R disks which is preaty expensive. I will probably get all my friends together to buy together a BluRay burner for all... But than... the BR-R is 20$ a piece...
Hope the prices get slashed even further by the time this options become viable.

I was told that the beta test console of the PS3 can in fact read backups of bluerays, so.. that might be why there are torrents of them.

You mean one of the developer consoles? That's cool but pointless since they can run unsigned code which is the reason that they can play backups so its useless to us.

It was BD+ that was cracked recently. There have been tools available (not only AnyDVD HD) to back-up Blu-ray discs for quite some time now.

I wish I could hack the ps3. It would be so cool to be actually make a legit video, and release it as a trust worthy member here. Then actually release the working loader. Think about how many props in the world you would get. Right now I'm playing 360 because I need money for college :(

In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

So will the ps3 most likely be chipped or firmware flashed?
