question:
1-What does that error mean ?????
2-do i need to convert the cso to iso ??
3- i have tried converting cso to iso with ultra iso and did not work, did i do something wrong ?
4- i also put some usa iso's into the iso folder of the psp like the other games i have ,but why can i not see them when i go to the folder in the psp after i unlink the usb connection and try to play ?
The error is to do with your memory card/PC, you could try re-formating the card but i don't know if it would make a difference. Not sure what else to suggest apart from seeing if it does it with other files...

You'll need to downgrade it using a Pandora Battery (see the multitude of threads here), then going to 3.80 M33-5 with 1.50 kernel patch.

EDIT:

1) Yes, they can be corrupt, not much you can do about that apart from download a different version.

2) No there's nothing to fix them, though you can use UMDgen v4 to take stuff out of them or modify the contents easily.

3) Word of advice; Lexar isn't great, their cards are worse than Sandisk or Sony, which possibly could be your problem... Also, check if the card is a fake:

Go to the memory card icon under "Game" and press triangle, then select "Information", unless it says "MagicGate: Supported", then it's a fake and that could be causing the problem.

thx for input ...i now know why they were 20 for 2gb at frys electronics.

what i have done to try and correct the issue is go into the properties of the removable drive and under tools i do a check for bad sector mapping and to correct anything bad.

after that it works and then have to do it again when i put another game or it does it after 2 games i put in.

** which are the best in order of best to worst ??? so i know not to get suckered again lol

ohh and anybody want a 2gb lexar card for 20 bucks ????

1st = Sony
1st = Sandisk
3rd = Lexar

Sony edges on Sandisk ever so slightly because, well, it's their own hardware, but i've got a Sandisk 4GB and it's always been perfect, never had any trouble with it.

thx ,
1- is their a program that can do sort of a check like a diagnostic on a psp iso or cso to see if any part of it is damaged ??

2- also if it can do that can it also extract the damged file and replace them with the proper and good file ??

3- i am citing an example of xdvdmulleter 10.2 beta for the xbox 360 games isos. i am thinking that if they have that for microsoft would they have something like tat for psp ???

there's no checker on psp .iso's, probably never will be because if the iso/cso doesn't work, you've "backed-up" or "acumilated" a bad copy of the game. Also sometimes little errors are down to the speed such as Ratchet and Clank: Size Matter which requires (varying with psp) 300mhz - 333mhz

hello,
Questions....
thx for the response.
1- do you know of a good site to download psp iso and cso.

i have gone to torrent harvester and iso hunt as well as mininovova and other torrent sites , but many of the games either will not open the rar files (are damaged or corrupted) or don't work.

i have loaded a few files in the memory stick and it loads to the iso folder fine , but when i disconnect the usb mode and check the game file in the game folder of the psp the game does not exist!! AND it used the memory as if it was their!! ....

2-can anyone explain why it does that ??

thanx for any help you can provide

3---also how can i backup a umd game like the simpsons if i have the original psp umd game ?? what program do i need and is their a tut for it somewhere??

'fraid i can't recommened sites for you to get iso's as it crosses the forum rules.. but for the second part, are you still using the fake memory stick? because.. it's not gonna work dude, you have to get another one...

on a fake memory stick, the flash circuits inside wouldn't have even been created in the first place, making the memory stick entirely pointless and probably more expensive to fix than buy a new one

if you're on custom firmware 3.52 M33 or above this will work,
press select and change the usb device from memory stick to UMD Disc then press select again to exit the vsh menu or scroll down to exit. Go to Settings->USB Connection then on the PC, a window should pop up saying UMD9660 just copy it and paste it somewhere on the pc, then rename it to whatever name the game is ^_^

.iso, but usually it's only mildy better, but costs you about 500mb extra space for a slight bit better quality, seems pointless to me... ^_^

True that, all PSP games work, regardless of ISO or CSO format, all CSOs are, are compressed versions of ISOs, therefore they may lag a little bit more, but setting your CPU speed to 300MHz/333MHz should solve any lag if you get it.

You can give names of sites - it's the direct links that aren't allowed.

Moved this thread the the mod & firmware forum - can't believe I didn't do it b/4 :)

1) Unlikely, but yes, i heard of a couple managing to do that.

2) Yes, www.pspiso.com or www.scrapetorrent.com

3) Yes, well, it would take less time, but unless you were going to sell the game, there isn't *much* point in backing it up anyway.

you could back all your games up just to have them all on you without carrying a large amount of UMD's, but it's not worth the loss in quality really..

shokz is right, i've heard torrentspy.com is good? i use torrentleech.org.. ^_^

Is that even possible? I thought that the M33s still threw up the (DADADADA) error code?

Someone claimed before that they accidentally updated from 3.71 M33 to the latest offical firmware. I didn't think it was possible either so I tried it myself and it actually did update 3.71 M33 to the latest official firmware without the DADADA error.

But even then no one should accidentally update since you have to accept the update to be downloaded. Then accept for instillation to even start then accept the user agreement before the update even happens.

You will need some type of service MOD Battery to downgrade. Just using a Magic Memory Stick will not due. You need both at the same time.
