Sony to aim PS3 at younger audience

article published on 5 December, 2011

PlayStation 3 (PS3) just entered its sixth year on the market. With six years passed for the console, Wii U confirmed and a new Xbox (or more than one) rumoured to be in development for release within the next couple of years, what is Sony's plan for the PS3? Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO Jim Ryan said in the Official PlayStation Magazine UK that the company plans to aim for ... [ read the full article ]

I'll play GT2 over GT5 any day. PS3 has let me down.

Nope :P

Mainly because I can play GT2 on pretty much everything though. And I never really got into GT3 or 4 much. I pretty much missed 3 since I didn't have a PS2 for a long time, and 4 I'm not sure, maybe because it felt too formal or something. I'm not sure lol

GT5 hands down disappointed, no questions, for me. Fun with my $5 Momo wheel but the whole standard and premium car BS and considering that the game was delayed like four years, it just can't keep me.

I love GT5...it is the best (or maybe the only good part) of having a PS3.

How young are we talking here? It begs to whether or not I need to reach over and smack the piss out of the ad executive over there at Sony or not.

Here's why, if the kid is over 10 (say 12) the kid is a bit more capable of taking care of an expensive piece of equipment. When that kid asks for a $60 game & you tell them that you can't afford it that week, they'll have a tendency to drop it or might actually have a job mowing lawn/baby sitting & offer to pay for it themselves. OH MY GAWD, take responsibility for their actions.

Now, little snot under ten... runs a risk of NOT being responsible for the game machine in ANY aspect of the words I just wrote. Unit drug in the floor at any whim for any reason at any given time, whether the device is turned off or on. "I want dis game & I want it NOW!!!" and the shit fit will ensue right there in the Walmart. In my Walmart you'll get pounded because that's what rednecks do for entertainment when the cable goes out, but if you're staying with grandma...? well she's trying to buy her way into heaven, so we know where this is going...

Thanks Sony... thanks again for once again NOT lubing up while deliving up that barbed wire cock ring...

yep totally agree

The ps3 is a real let down and the hey day of the sony playstation was GTA - Vice city.

Now that was when i was excited about gaming.

The ps3 is too restrictive, not fun and too expensive.

There are not even cheats for most games, which also breathed life into the gaming experience.

Tragic really

It does make sense since the Sony adding more PS2 games on the PSN store and it also make sense to keep the PS3 since they don't allow jail breaks.

Too expensive? Yes when it first came out but now it's not much expensive unlike the 360 if you want more dlc you gotta buy hard drive for 4gb bundle and the flash drive you can use it on there not even worth it and can't even play online if you don't have hard drive for it.
