Don't assume that the swords will be the same as they were in Halo 2. Bungie is likely to tone down the swords to balance things if they are duel weildable.

I think we can say with almost 100% certainty that the swords will not be one hit kill weapons in Halo 3. Bungie wouldn't allow it. They like to focus greatly on making sure the game is balanced e.g. that is why they didnt include the fuel rod cannon in the banshee during multiplayer.

did everyone saw the video? i know we were told its not the final finish and it might change but hell i dont like the dressing for the elites/brutes they look all lame is this just me or do you guys see that too?

The brutes look better with more armor
I saw the shotty it looks better than ever...i saw the Smg and assault rifle as well

I like that the Brutes have some new looks, a nice change. And their AI, even in this pre-alpha build seems awesome.

Why would they make brute blood green?

Their blood may be green to promote the fact they are not just odd looking apes. Also the colour green can represent envy, they may be envious of something in Halo 3.
Their green blood can also show us what their diet and homeworld may be like as haemoglobin is what makes our blood red.

the light green blood makes them seem more alien and that is what Bungie was going for, a more alien and predatorial brute.

Bungie can't win. If they made it dark green, people would complain it was to dark. If they made it light green people would moan it was to light.

Aaitte so here is pretty much Everything I have found out about Halo 3
1 I have found out that there is a mongoose (ATV)
2 I have found out that there is a human weapon that is a mix of fuel rod, Rox, and sentinal beam (I call it the FRS)
3 you can see what weapon your opponent has in reserve (multiplayer)
4 there is a brute pistol that I call the Spiker witch shoots grenades and has like a bayonet
5 there is a human assult rifle thingy with a second barrel (most likely a grenade launcher)
6 I saw a shotgun that is either revised from H2 or a slug shotgun
7 I saw a helicopter in a screenshot (it might just be part of sceenery
8 on XBL like a month ago I was talkin? to a bungie guy and he said that thy were toying with the idea of a gass grenade launcher for campeign.
9 there is a F*kin shield GRENADE!!!

The game isnt being made by Bungie directly, however they are contributing to it in a few ways. Halo Wars is set waay before Halo 1.

I forgot about that. hmmm maybe its some sort of temporary blood as that was made months ago.
Unless of course it does have something to do with the climate they are used to (as i said earlier). The brutes have never been on earth, so maybe our atmosphere lacks something that their blood needs, which in turn changes it green.

Well--I think thats unbelievablie AWSOME but what is the point of reavisiting the SC???And in HALO part 1 SC was destroyed by the Mastercheif when he blew HALO up....

Or their blood could just be fore the pre-alpha testing purposes. This would make their blood easier to see in darker situations thus making it easier for the designers to recognise issues with blood splatter etc. while still in production.
Someone said the green blood wouldnt suit their personality, since when does blood change to suit personalties?
