Hey guys, I have a DVD which is 4 hours long. I tried dvd shrink but it can't compress it enough. What program can split the Burning process so I can copy this DVD? Will dvd xcopy Platium or express automatically burn to 2 dvd's? thanks folks

after backing up using shrink (click ok when it states that the file will be too big) reopen shrink and do the process again

Also i would recommend removing all extras, unneeded audio and subtitles. Also remove start/end credits to try and get the size down as much as possible

Just curious, but what DVD do you have that is 4 hours long? Are you trying to keep menus and extras?

You can split a disc with Shrink but you will lose the menus.

Open the disc in Shrink and let it analyze. Select Re-author. Use the start/end, chapter select feature to select the first half of the chapters. Burn this to your first disc. Repeat this process with the second half of the chapters to your second disc.

You can find "insert disc 2" clips at the Shrink website.
