The popular developer has no plans to bring the game to the platform in the ... [ read the full article ]

I know I do. It's something to do in between tasks. The new one by far is the best tho. Adding G-Force to the play was spot on fun.

That was after they panicked at Microsoft and Nokia and wound up paying Rovio for supporting their dead platform.

Do you have a source for that, or is that just speculation?

Some call it speculation, others an obvious conclusion, especially considering the original bit of news wasn't a mistake but an actual announcement from Rovio's marketing boss. Sure, it was probably a calculated move to get MS pay for the development to begin with - MS certainly needs them more than they need them, precisely for the reasons mentioned in the article. The message it sends to other developers when the makers of the best selling app think the platform is so small without signs of improvement that it's not economically feasible to support it.

I'm not saying it's the certain truth, but it is by far the most credible scenario I can think of or have seen - and certainly seems to be how it's seen.

MS is paying just about EVERYONE to support Windows Phone, from the phone designers/manufacturers to the professional devs.
