Hi again,
I am hoping someone can solve my latest problem.
I had Nero already installed when I bought my computer secondhand. Everything worked well ...DVD shruk my disks and when backup was finished Nero automatically burned... ..then it was pointed out that the Nero program was unlicenced. I have now bought the Nero 6 disk and installed it but now when shrink is finished my copy is saved to a folder. This then entails , for me, hours of trying to get Nero to find and reconise the copy....is there any way that I can amalgamate DVD shrink and Nero to run consecutively and automatically?

Hi Joblox,
Try this: Open Shrink then select Edit> Preferences> File I/O, Check the box to enable burning with Nero.

When you select "backup!", make sure your target device is set as your burner.

You should also remove and reinstall Shrink. Your current Shrink installation may be looking for Nero in the wrong places after you have removed Nero and installed a new version. This happenend to me just the other day.

A good thing to do is to go into explorer and make a "movies" folder. This way you will always have a place to send your movies and other stuff to, rather than just letting programs send stuff to default locations. I have an entire partition of my HDD set aside just for video work.
Cheers,
Frank

you can set shrink to burn with Nero automatically without ever opening Nero. You can use recode in Nero, works just like shrink and retains a working menu after re-authoring and burn while in that program. Finally, you can open Nero express, click and drag shrink's file into the VIDEO_TS file and burn(leave the AUDIO_TS file alone). All will work just fine. good luck
