click start, search and search for vts_01. where ever that file is, is where the dvd was decrypted to. Next time, just use dvd shrink to rip and compress at the same time.

if you want to rip and shrink at the same time, select open disc. If the movie is on your hd already, select open files.

jknakes,
You may have ripped it in ISO mode. So open Shrink, click "File", then "Open Disc Image".

Shrink will rip also. Only use Decrypter when Shrink can't crack the css encryption.
1) Open Shrink, then open disc
2) Click "backup!"
3) Change target destination to "ISO Image File", and check the box to Launch DVD Decrypter
Or, change to your burner if burning with Nero. If you do burn with Nero .. click edit, then preferences. Under the File I/O tab, make sure the box is checked to Enable burning with Nero.
4) Click ok. Remember to run no other programs

well my first one worked so far using the shrink to decrypt and shrink then i burned it with decrypter. the person that taught me how to do all this told me that shrink doesn't have as good quality when it's used to decrypt and shrink at the same time.

Hmm ... who said that? And, you be your own judge ... let us know if you notice any difference.

Did you figure this out? Did you try: Opening Shrink, click file, then open disc image? Did Shrink find your file?

Being a current DVD Shrink 3.2b4 Beta tester, I've had a lot of time in the last couple of days to work with DVD Shrink and whoever told you that Shrink can't Decrypt and compress at the same as a unit is full of Lake Titicaca.
Do you have Nero burning Rom 6X if so then you are fine. Open DVD Shrink, choose edit, preferences, I/O and then look to your bottom left and choose enable burning with Nero. If you're using different burning software then let us know.
If you have to rip with DVD Decrypter and you want Shrink to read it then rip in file mode.
Here's a walk through guide.

I hear the water is cold and the air is thin which might reduce the scent of the caca before the titi.

Regarding Shrink not being able to "see" the file (in my case I use .iso files) I had the same problem. I simply opened the folder with the .iso file in it and dragged and dropped it into shrink and it started analysing it straight away - then I burned it as an .iso file. I am having 100% success rate.
I will not make a coaster today!

Shrink can read rips that are in ISO mode or file mode.
