emule problems or not?

Hello all,

I have been using emule for a few years now, great program.

I have various PC's, all on DHCP but one PC has a static IP address so I can forward the proper emule ports to it from my router.

Now the emule-pc with the static IP was suddenly not going online anymore. It took me a while to find out that if I changed the IP address it suddenly would go online again. But after a months or so the same problem happened again. So I did the same trick again, change it's IP address, make the changes on the router and problem fixed. But then it happened again, also on another PC that I started using for Emule.

I wonder if anyone has seen this problem before or if anyone could come up with a logical explanation.

I don't THINK eMule supports DHCP servers very well.

I don't think it matters if it's on DHCP.
But in this case my emule machine is the only one that has a fixed IP.
