I'm trying to burn a shrinked movie I created as a VIDEO_TS, because I like the idea of doing a data verification. It burns fine with Nero, but it fails the data verify. I tried 3 types of DVD-R's (Ritek and Prodisc) and get the same exact data verification errors, confirmed by seeing the problems when watching, and by scanning the disc with a separate tool. It had no problems with a DVD+RW though. Is this entirely a media problem?

I'm concerned, because I've burned a lot of movies unable to do a data verify. I just bought a 50 pack of Ritek's. I'm using a Plextor.

Oh, I'm thinking I could solve the prob by shortening the movie so I'm not burning right up to the edge of the DVD -- maybe Ritek media isn't so great close to the edge...
