Removing Subtitles On DVD SHrink

Ive backed up a couple of movies using shrink. I wish to retain the best quality so i like to leave compression out of it.

What i do is re-author the dvd. I select only the main movie and title no 1.

Anyway when i burn the movie ive got subtitles.

How can i remove these subtitles.

Basically what i mean is how do i select the main movie without selecting the subtitles

After selecting the movie only in the re-author screen reselect 'compression settings and uncheck all the 'Subpicture' selections. That will remove all subtitles except those included movie by default. This will not save you much space as the subtitles take up vary little room. I usually leave at least one of the English subtitles selected. Note on some non English language movies you should leave a subtitle selection unless you understand the language.

If you need to reduce compression you can usually gain more by deleting all the 'audio' selections except for one. I usually select AC3 5.1-Ch English (if avaiable) or AC3 2-Ch English.

I agree, you can remove them but it doesn't gain you anything the files are so small you won't even notice that you took them out.

On your DVD player remote you should be able to shut off the subtitles.

Kind of a small hassle but video compression is all about compramise.
