All mobile phones in ireland and most other countries can be unlocked for free,
Once you have the phone registered to 'yourself' And have a sim card that goes in the phone with over $£?100 been put on it,
Or you have the phone registered to yourself for 6+ months,
Just ring up your provider and ask them for the "NAC unlock code"
Provided you have "either of the above" done on your phone.
TRY NOT TO TAKE "NO" FOR AN ANSWER!!!! All providers can get the unlock code for you for free

Also if you put the wrong code in and block your fone from opening with codes

Hi iv a bill phone with 3 ireland and when i rang up looking code they said i would have to pay 25 euro for it i thought it was free because when i was with o2 i got codes free im sorry i left them.

just my luck im stuck in a contract for another 11 months if i had of known that they would't give me the code i would't have signed up with them

id be careful, i know its only ?6 but is there no shops close to ya like the 1's in dub city centre (parnell street) where they use their laptop or machine to unlock for aroud ?10-?15 depends on fone at least you`d be guaranteed it opened or no payment if not
also yes ive had many fones unlocked in town myself but never done any on e.bay ect..
but if you do decide to have it done by this chap lets know how it goes

hey hooter007,
do you know where i can unlock motorola v3 for free? tehre was this mototools on the net before but i cant find a reliable source to download from. Also sony ericsson k750 and nokia 6500 slide.

Did you try in the "links" on 1st post above, As i think your "slide" is in the 2nd and 6th link down, Not sure if its the slide version though, (picture should be there)
Also there is a couple for sony fones aswell
I have 1 for motorola v.3 but not sure if i posted above with the rest of the links, or if it's on 1 of my laptops, (if not there reply and ill check on L.Top
Always double check the code you got with another link if fone is in 2 or more
If you have to use a generator that supplies 7 different codes, Always try the 7th then the 5th and if they dont work then the 1st code that they give out
CODES ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO WORK ON ALL FONES

Hey nice one for the info mate :)
So basically at the minute I'm 7 months into a monthly bill contract with 3 Ireland, so as I'm over 6 months I can ring them up and insist on them giving me the unlock code for my W995 and by law they have too ?

Because you're on a bill fone,
It should have been unlocked at the time of purchase!
Now with 3 i know people that have had problems trying to get unlock key from them,
I think it comes down to whom ever answers the fone to you when you ring
But you could say you got the fone on condition it was unlocked at time of purchase
Who ownes the fone them or you! You are basicaly just renting the sim card for the 12months
What good is the fone after your contract is up, if you decide "not" to stay with them
By law,
im not sure if they would have a clause or similar
but it should not be a problem for them to give unlock code

Im with 3 a couple of years on a bill phone iv rang them up a couple of times and each time they wanted 25euro for unlock so i did't bother at that price.

Could anyone calculate the unlocking code for a Nokia 6070? I tried the links and didnt work for my phone. I saw some other ppl with my phone model post help some time back and some good samaritan helped them out somehow and got it.
