You need to use the new 0800 ripping firwmare flashed to a 360 drive to rip them in combination with a new version of XBC, but none of the necessary software has been released publicly yet. Should be soon though, cos Team Jungle said this on Twitter about 18 hours ago: -
"LT+2.0 release imminent with JF and XBC soon after!"
Is this a separate flash lt1.9 or soon to be 2.0? Do you use the same xbox that is flashed with lt or do you use a separate xbox drive and hook it up yo a pc? If so, how do you hook it up to a pc? Are we able to ask for a link to this firmware?

Quote one person who is "worried".

Yeah, it's a separate thing to flashing your 360 to play the games. You can buy a second 360 drive off eBay and flash that with the 0800 firmware to use for ripping.

craig1975, rfit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP. yours is 403x152 pixels & 1 line of text.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.

Can I please ask how to rebuild a GXD3 .rar file please.
Par-n-rar can't verify so is there another option to get the bits unzipped and reassembled?
Cheers

ImgBurn 2.5.6.0. No more need to go through all this with the errors and clicking continue. Just click the DVD file and select Write to End of Disc (Truncate).

2 things that spring to mind are either it's a bad rip, or it's a bad burn.

have tried 3 different rips and two different burners still cant get it to work.
Have just tried another xgd3 iso ( different game )same thing happening. I see from a number of forums that i am not the only one that is having this problem, but so far no one has a solution.
(also other post in this thread)
Could someone please post there imgburn log for a xdg3 they have burnt and is working so i can compare it with mine, to see if there is anything different

At last found out what the problem is, people are listing there ISO as xdg3 rips,
but they have been ripped using a jtag xbox and these dont have a .dvd file.
The iso`s that have been ripped using LT 0800 firmware work fine and these have a .dvd file
The down side is you dont know what they are until they have been downloaded. It would be nice if everyone that uploads including myself could say what ripping method was used and if it includes the .dvd file.
hope this helps.

Guys, I have a problem. I downloaded NBA 2K12 from TPB, which I can't post because of this spam preventing thing..
I followed the guide, but when I press A to run the game, the screen goes black for a sec, and then it goes back to my dashboard and says "This game requires an update"
Also, since abgx360 v1.0.0.5 (The latest version on their site..) doesnt recognize the game, I didnt run the game through it.
Im 99% sure that I have LT 2.0. It runs games with AP2.5, if you could list me games that run on LT 2.0 to be 100% sure I have it I will very appreciate it.

When was your firmware last updated, LT2.0 has only been around for a few weeks. if your firmware is older than this then it is not LT2.0 and will need updating as will your dashboard, but make sure you have your dvd drive key before updating your dashboard.
If you do have the lt2.0 firmware then it could be the image you are using is not a LT2.0 0800 image but a Jtag image. Jtag images dont work from a dvd on the new xgd3 system
There is no current abgx360 that works with the new Xbox dvd file system (xgd3)

LT+ 2.0 was released 8 days ago, so if you haven't flashed your 360 in the last 8 days you don't have it, which would be my guess as to why it's not working in your cases.

I guess you guys are doing something wrong. I burned 4 XGD3 games with ImgbBurn and all work fine. I install gamess to the hard drive and then play them and they work fine and Im not getting the "Disk Unauthorized" error on GOW 3 either.

Well, I've updated my firmware a few months ago so I think my problem is obvious. But just to be sure, if my firmware really is 1.91 (I think that's the one before 2.0?), why am I able to press "Play game"?
Also, could you please explain to me about the dashboard update? Iirc it happens when I insert a game that works on the new firmware... But what exactly is the DVD drive key and why do I need to save it?
Thanks a lot for the help guys.
EDIT: It's not a Jtag image btw.

Another guy said on here the other day that he was on 1.91 and the game showed up when he put it in the drive and he could press "play", so that's normal. It won't play without 2.0 though.
The latest games contain the latest version of the dashboard on the disc, so if your 360 doesn't have it installed already, that's why you're being prompted to install it. If that's the case, you need to flash your drive back to stock, update the dashboard, then flash your drive with LT+ 2.0.
As for the DVD drive key, the DVD drive in the 360 is tied to the console itself using a unique key as a security measure. It means you can't just swap the DVD drive out for a different one as it won't have the drive key in it. If the drive key is wrong or missing, the 360 will play DVDs and CDs, but not games. You have to dump the key from the drive, insert it into the custom firmware, then flash your 360 with that firmware. That way, the drive still has the correct key in it that matches up with your console.
The reason you save it is because if you don't, then next time you want to flash your console you'll have to dump the key again. If you already have it saved on your computer than you don't need to. Plus, it's good to have a backup just in case, cos if you erase your drive and lose the key, then your 360 won't be able to play games. If you have a backup, you can almost always recover from a bad flash attempt where you made a mistake.

Wow. Thank you so much for the input man. I'll save my key, even though I'm taking my Xbox to a store to flash it, so if saving my DVD drive key is a common procedure I shouldn't worry. As for the dashboard update, if it's about the same as the Kinect dashboard I shouldn't have a problem.
Again, thanks dude.

No problem, but you should definitely check which dashboard version you have installed.
Some of the newer dashboard updates reflash the 360's drive with a new stock firmware, so you might pay someone to flash your 360 then update your dashboard which flashes it back to stock again.
If you're on the latest dashboard already, you can just flash (or pay someone to do it) the latest LT+ firmware. If you're not on the latest dashboard, you need to flash back to stock, update the dashboard to the latest version, then flash to the latest LT+ firmware. For that reason, it's advisable to learn to do it yourself, cos it's not that hard and then you can always stay up to date without having to pay out more cash.
