hi
i just wanna know does xbox have firmware update like ps3? like as we know for ps3 recent games use latest firmware which can't be jailbroken yet (as far as i have searched), so does xbox have the same problem?
the xbox is the way to go, updates effect the xbox at times but there is always a quick fix, if you are not good with flashing a drive you may want to check into the xkey for the 360.
1: Flash firmware. Pretty easy to do. This allows you to play backups burned onto DVD+R DL discs. Aside from that, the Xbox acts normal. Yes, it's able to go on Xbox Live.
2: JTAG Hack. The JTAG hack can be done on Xbox 360 consoles with a dashboard version of 2.0.7371.0 or lower. This is a physical hack done to the motherboard, and is not as easy as flashing firmware. This hack allows you to run unsigned (un-official) code, which means that you can use a replacement dashboard, run emulators, and other apps. Also allows games to be copied to the console's hard drive or a USB hard drive, and run from there, without the disc. No Xbox Live.
3: Reset Glitch Hack. Acts exactly like the JTAG hack, except that it works on all versions of the console except Xenon (the first model). A "glitch chip" can be purchased and soldered to the motherboard. Dashboards, emulators, apps, games from hard drive.
4: ODDE (Optical Disc Drive Emulator). Connects to your console's disc drive and mimics it. It allows you to connect a USB hard drive to it, to play games from that hard drive. Yes, it can still go on Xbox Live. (there is no ODDE on the market now, but they are close).
