Hi Guys, new user here.
I have PS3 with 3.15 on it. Should I update to 3.55 & then to custom firmware or is their anyway to install something else since I have 3.15?
If I use CW 3.55 will I loose ability for "Other OS"?
I don't play games much, use it to watch streaming videos from my desktop, downloaded movies or Internet streaming. I was told long time back that in order to support most video codecs, I have to use 3rd party player in Linux to play these movies?
Also I have 2T USB HDD, single partition in FAT32. Current 3.15 does not recognized it, it that supported in CW 3.55?
What would be the best route for me since I have 3.15 on my PS3?
Also, if I use CW 3.55, should I use

Well if you want to play the latest games (post 3.15 but pre 3.56) then update.
You do lose otheros in a way, but graf has bought it back, I dont use linux but it you google abestos for ps3 you will find how to install linux back onto any ps3 including slims.
I dont know if there is much different between using otheros or abestos, that you'd have to look up, but I am guessing abestos is better. You will have to check yourself if you are familiar with linux.
