PS3 cheat codes.

Before I start let me say that I'm well aware of the fact that some gamers don't condone cheating in video games (I even know 1 non-gamer that has strong negative feelings toward the idea, which is kind of weird), so please don't tell me how much I suck for wanting to do so.
On to my point. Is there a place where I can find a list of PS3 games that have real cheat codes (e.g. GTA4 and Saints Row 2)? I'm not talking about hints, or tips, or walkthroughs. I'm talking about up,down,up,down,left,right,left,right,B,A,select,start codes. REAL codes. If I had a complete list of PS3 games that included such cheat options as "God mode" or "infinite ammo" I would be a much happier gamer/consumer and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Please help.

Besides that, there aren't any cheat devices for the PS3 anyway. Not sure if there's one for the 360, either.
If you're looking to use cheats in games, you'll have the most luck on your PC. You can mess with a lot of the code that way.
As far as the PS3 goes, though, there's no way besides in-game "cheats" to get what you want.
...or at least there's no way I know of. Someone in the forum was doing some gamesave manipulation to get infinite ammo/god mode/etc. on the single player mode of Modern Warfare 2, but that's all I can remember.

years ago, i used to go to Cheatplanet. Havent checked it out in a long time. I think the addition of trophies has kind of killed cheat codes. I have no problem with off line cheating. Ask what ever you want, we will try our best to be your google.

go ahead and cheat in single player...it only ruins your experience. Just don't cheat online...that ruins it for everyone...and yes, you can cheat online...just last night I had to kick some ***hole from burnout paradise because he was using a cheat to make his car invisable.
I know lots of non-gamers who don't condone cheating...cheating is even worse in professional sports, so this is hardly a suprise.

i dont see points in cheating in games since trophies came out, and alot of games for consoles dont even have cheats anymore. they are fun sometimes but others use them way to much.

I dunno, it's sometimes fun to just run around gunning things down. Having infinite ammo (only for the ammo you have remaining; I still like to reload) and a bit of beefed-up health makes it pretty fun to get shot up and just keep chugging along.
Then again, I only ever have the chance to do this in PC games, since I wouldn't be able (or have the desire) to gamesave-hack for the life of me.

There is a new way to "cheat" for some trophies...you can download save games that are saved seconds before the trophy is awarded; then just load the save and walk across the room and you get a trophy! This is why some games copy-protect the save files.

Speaking of trophies. What's the incentive in collecting them? I've searched Google and they seem to serve no purpose. Sorry for my noobish questions, but I've just recently dusted off my PS3 to play Uncharted 2 and appear to be out of the loop.

trophies dont serve much purpose other then bragging rights, and incentive to do more in the game, like a little prize that says u did this.

Depends on the game. Uncharted 2 trophies are fun IMO, but only because the game itself is great and has tons of replay value. Some truly suck though. Like Prince of Persia, where you get trophies for taking 2 steps in the right direction. I think Uncharted 2 has a nice balance of trophies to obtain. Some other games are outright ridiculous to get and not worth the time.
It's a nice pretty sound when you win one though. Puts a smile on my face each time!

Also, a few of the trophies will give you goodies in playstation home.
As you collect trophies, your PSN rank goes up, based on the number and quality of trophies gotten. Here is where they hope to sell games...there is no way to get a high PSN rank unless you have a lot of games...as it is based on the total number of trophies, not just the percentage done.
Trophies can also help you get into clans; most clans will not want members if they have no trophies for the game that the clan plays.

As for the tread Q Cheatcc.com is your best bet for cheat codes or gamestop.com or gamespot.com for walk troughs and cheats. Hope this helps guy

The irony of your reply is that you're making yourself look worse. So he pissed in your Wheaties... grow up and get over it. Trolling in other threads just makes you seem like the immature one. But as you said, common sense is not so common, so allow me to share some with you... "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
That being said, I'm not inferring that you are a fool, but merely that not thinking before you hit Post Reply can have the unintended consequence of placing yourself in an unfavorable light. i know common sense itsnt as common, i think maybe if one was told common sense then maybe they will ahve some one day even tho its highly doubted, i wont stoop to ur level, do you see others going to other threads saying stuff about others, no. and usualy if they do they arent around for long. have a nice day ;)

Anybody interested in a cheat system for the ps3 should look up
"ps3 usercheat" dongle.
You need a jailbroken/run custom firmware 3.55 to use this product.
Its just like the good old AR Max cheat system on the ps2.
