well that is some relief that its not your mobo. could even have something to do with your OC not being stable might need a tweak or two.
a fine tunning so to say..lol

more likely the useless os is unstable.. most likely trying to allocate ram to 2 different processes at the same time.. used to BSOD until the geniuses broke that in fista.

Since it has only happened once, I'll get over it. I have never ran vista, but windows 7 has earned a 9.5/10 from me. But then, I DO have the hardware to run it. My Overclock should be fine. It's been stable for months without hitch.

Rather in awe here. This was the last burn my Velociraptor ever saw. Or at least its cache saw. About half way through the burn, a major lockup occurred. I first noticed it, when I tried to shut down photoshop. It froze. Tried to enter task manager to no avail. When I realized it was doomed, I allowed the burn to complete before shutting off computer. Apparently the burn finished successfully. I did an imgburn iso - disc verification. It passed with flying colors. And the Velociraptor is dead. RMA is under way with Western digital :) I'll probably be selling the replacement...

AD7240 or AD7241 which to get. will be ordering mobo and psu tomorrow will have $30 to play with to get a new burner. will eventually get 3 more new ones.. ;)

Not quite what I was hoping, but a little better than 004 discs. And on my oldest optiarc no less! We'll see how she does when ran to my new board :D Probably won't be til this weekend though. Should be an interesting weekend ;)

ok who has the link to bitsettings for the AD7240S i forgot it dont bitset, went and burnt a disc and checked it out and still said DVD+ROM

yes, the large spikes are ugly. But they usually don't bother me, as long as they're ONLY single spikes LOL! The highest one has an imperfection on the dye. I've seen the imperfections before. I have no doubt it will play. Though if it were to get scratched in that area...

is there much difference in the original FW and liggy's? both say 1.02

well here is the first burn. not to good not to bad.
got up thismorning went to do another burn and i keep getting this error???WTH?
it wont recognize anything now ive put in original disc and it wont even see them???
not sure what happend? i just reflashed it again. did the dump.bin and all. it reflashed and is now working. i think last time once i flashed it i didnt restart it right away. i hit the bitsetting button in binflash first and then restarted. this time i just flashed it and restarted like said to do and now it sees disc and am scanning on it now. not a burn it did thats next just to make sure it works.

Which burner burned it? How old is it? Is your Hard Drive Files Fragmented? How fast did you burn the disc? If it were my burners at 16X, I would probably trust that burn. There are a lot of factors to consider :)
Just got my new Verbatims MCC 004's from officmax online. I couldn't resist that deal ;)

The burner i am using is an LG GH22, is is about a month old. I burnt the dvd at 8X and my hard drive has been defraged.

Well...I hate to say it, but MY LG burner sucked! It read discs ok, but burning was not good. I gave it to a buddy, I think he still uses it. I believe it was a LG-GH22NP20. It had similar scans. was a noisy little thing too. at least at high speed burning. Plus it had riplock...
