Im trying to get this movie off my laptop to my ps3 so i can watch it on the TV instead of this thing. I know how to get the movies on there, but this one is NOT showing up in my ps3->video->all Video folder or my videos->folders->video on the ps3 like the rest of my movies are. Its orginal file format is .MKV, which I converted to .AVI, which DID show up on the ps3, but when i tried watching it, it didn't work. Kept saying media server error (000000000) which tells me that it got corrupt somewhere along the line. So I got the mkv2vob program and tried doing it that way. Added it to mkv2vob, it went to a MPEG file, which I promptly put inside my shared ps3 folder. Now its not showing up at ALL on my ps3 even though its in MPEG format. Basically right back to square one.

help?

Ok just wondering. Are you using a media server or uploading to the PS3 HDD? Just wanting to be clear..

If so. What media player?

The procedure you mentioned is the one I use (mkvtovob), so it sounds like it should work.
