I have been getting error streaming certain files with tvversity and ps3 media server. I know that they are supposed to stream all files or most all is there a limit on files with these apps to a ps3?

Actually the PS3 is fairly weak in what it can play back. I set up streaming with my Windows7 PC and the results were pretty dissapointing. I purchased a WD Live Plus HD and it plays back everything, AVI (Xvid, AVC, MPEG1/2/4), MPG/MPEG, VOB, MKV (h.264, x.264,AVC, MPEG1/2/4, VC-1), TS/TP/M2T (MPEG1/2/4, AVC, VC-1), MP4/MOV (MPEG4, h.264), M2TS, WMV9.
The PS3 is pretty tempremental.
I know that the ps3 cannot play mkv. Apparently there is a way using divxcodec pack but it didn't work for me. Also I have found wireless streaming unreliable on the PS3.
I find the ps3 and tversity really useful for steaming. I have only had one file that would not play but after re encoding it played. mkv files play but I change their container to m2ts as the ps3 prefers it.
