Hey guys I have a couple questions about my United States PS3.

I have the first generation 60gb US PS3. I bought it at launch.

1. I recently moved to England and I was wondering if I could use my PS3 here. I have a converter that converts the volts from UK specs to US specs but it doesn't change the Hz cycle.

2. Will the difference in Hz cycles damage my PS3?

3. Can I plug my PS3 directly into the wall or do I absolutely need to use the converter?

4. I know I can't play UK dvd's in my US PS3 so I won't try that, but I did buy a UK HDTV which I know I can use for NTSC games and NTSC blu-ray while using an HDMI cord but will regular NTSC dvd's work on an HD UK television?

1.) I don't think you will have an issue, but I really can't say. You are not driving motors directly or anything...the juice only feeds a power supply, so I think it should be safe but I can't be sure.
3.) No, you can't plug it into double the voltage.
4.) PAL and NTSC are both analog SD resolutions. HDMI is standardized everywhere.
