Ps3 GPU going or normal gameplay?

Recently I've started to notice the backdrops more on ps3 games looking kind of bland or pixelated most noticeable in the beginning parts of infamous 2.  It feels to me like maybe my gpu is going out or maybe I'm just paranoid. When looking around it just seems like it has a hard time rendering the backdrops and I'm not sure if this is normal or my ps3 is getting close to a YLOD. Also in infamous 2 the lighting seems really jagged and terrible like there's a complete lack of smoothing, I don't know if this is just the game or not. I have an 80gb model that came with the metal gear bundle if this helps at all. Any help or suggestions for this would be greatly appreciated!

It's just the PS3's graphics card that's holding you back. You can't solve it...or you culd try letting your PS3 cool down if it's hot...
