Hi . my old phat ps3 with a 320 gig hard drive has just died and i am buying a 320 gig slim to replace it. My questions are
Can i put the hardrive from the phat into an enclosure and then connect that to the slim and transfer all my films,photos etc to the slim via the usb cable?
Also if the phat does not power on now i guess the back up utility is a no go?

No you can't. If your old ps3 is dead then your data is lost.
