Hello all

Any help appreciated.

The xmb is totally fine but whenever I load a game up the display has the following problems. The overall graphic quality becomes blocky and a thick pink line appears on the left hand side of the screen about a 5th of the way into the screen. Anything to the left of this line is garbelled.

Any ideas?

I think this sounds like your graphics chip is gone. If still under warranty get it replace from sony.

If not you can try the heat gun fix just to make sure there isnt and loose solder on the connections. But if that doesnt work that's it, you will need a new ps3 to get a clear image.

Thanks for feedback.. Turns out it was the charger wire in the usb....took that out and no problem!
