hi, i was thinking of getting the ps3 game the last of us
but it seems that it has an update of 4.45, and what i heard this update is bricking
the system. but now i also heard that they knew about this update issues, and they fixed it.
i was thinking if i buy this game and insert in my ps3, will i have to update the system to 4.45,
or it will ask me to update the latest one, which is 4.46? i dont use my system online.

PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

the file is PARAM.SFO yes its caps most of the game system files are in caps and usually most of the game files are in caps... anyway PARAM.SFO tells the ps3 what kind of game it is... whats the firmware requirement... what version the game is... in general reading the file gives you info on what firmware the game comes with so if the file say 4.46 the game will come with the firmware 4.46... kingdom hearts 1.5 remix for example comes with 4.46..

ok thanks, so the last of us if i buy it, it has 4.41 firmware, beacuse some said it had a 4.45 firmware which bricked some systems, thats why im not sure of buying it
