Okay, I have a strange problem that maybe someone can help me find a solution i'm just not seeing.
I have some ps3 backup saves I want to transfer to my new ps3. I've done this successfully many times in the past, on different ps3s, but for some reason its jut not working for me now. Here's all that I've tried from google and other sources.
First i started simple, I put the usb drive that has already worked for transferring saves onto my ps3 with the saves in it, and went to the save data utility on my ps3 and it says "No save data found".
I double checked the usb on my pc and it has PS3 folder with a SAVEDATA folder in it with all my saves, all caps.
Then I copied the saves from my usb to pc and deleted everything on the usb. I plugged the usb into my ps3 and copied a save from my ps3 to the usb, so it would create the folders for me, plugged my usb back into my pc and put the saves I want to transfer into the folders the ps3 made, and still nothing.
So I deleted everything from my usb again, and put the usb into my ps3 and copied a save from the ps3 to the usb, but just for curiosities sake I checked under Save Data Utility first to see if I could copy the saves that were just transferred to my usb, back on the ps3. It still said "No Save Data Found" even though I JUST put them on the usb from my ps3.
Finally I re-formatted my usb to FAT32 (I read somewhere that it only recognized storage medias in this format) and still nothing.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Its a fairly new ps3 (bought it last november with the Uncharted 3 bundle) So is there a new lockout to prevent copying saves that I'm just not aware of? I know the game saves aren't copy protected, like I said I've copied them before successfully... Any feedback on this matter is greatly appreciated.
