I have windtalkers dvdr which is region locked, to which region is unknown, i have ripped with smartripper with region on, but it didn't work, so i tried using ifoedit, it said it made the files region free, but it still won't play, it says it can't play dude to region lock restrictions, anyone have any ideas...oh and the videio is ntsc format..i'm uk

You say that you are trying to rip a dvd-r or original copy?

i have the dvdr of it, i tplays the menus, but when i come to play the movie itself it says it can't due to region restrictions

You need to remove RCE checking within the IFO files (ALL OF THEM) before burning. You can do this in IFOEdit or DVDDecryptor. There are a million posts explaining the procedure.
