I'm using Windows Media Player with a Plug-in called Cyberlink MP3 to rip my CD collection to MP3, to be loaded onto my MP3 player. Many of the songs I've ripped have little pops, clicks, etc., reminiscent of the types of noise one would encounter in the days of vinyl LPs. Does anyone know what might be causing that? I make sure that I do not touch the computer at all while the CD is ripping.
I am not a big fan of using WMP to rip cd's to mp3. I get pops and clicks with it a lot. WMP pushes using the WMA format, and so it could be that since you want to use MP3 instead of WMA, it almost punishes you for not using WMA and makes a lower quality mp3. Just a thought..
Anyway, I use CDex myself, and it works like a charm every time. Hope Ive helped...
