Just thought i'd let everyone know that the so called "update" to make the drive SAFE to use with 4x DVD-R media has made my drive revert back to 1x DVD-R writing which is crap to be honest. Pioneer should actually tell people that it affects the speed the drive can write at!!!!! I'm not enjoying writing at 1 speed it's doing my nut in to be honest!! If you don't need to use the new 4x DVD-R media (in a 2x drive it seems pointless) don't bother with the flash

Thanks for that, worked a treat!!! Flashed the drive & tried burning an image using PrimoDVD fired it out at 2x. Thanks again!!!!!!!!

I used the 1.33, i guess i should have tried the earlier ones first but i needed to get it it done and er..... well i couldn't wait ha ha
