Hi mr_aden. :)

Try another media (Ritek, Verbatim, TDK), or burning at a lower speed.
Princo do not have a very good reputation in terms of quality. ;)

Well, you have two options:

- try burning at a lower speed.

- lower DVD Shrink target size (4200MB or thereabout).
"Edit >> Preferences >> Target Size >> Custom".
That should eliminate the problems often found when writing to/reading from the outer edge of the discs.

Does your dvd player support dvdrw format? I have an old sony that does work but wasn't meant to support the format! So sometimes it will play straight through no problems and sometimes the discs skip and sometimes the player won't read the disc at all! Also you can try putting a label on the disc and see if it will read them that way! If that don't work I would go buy a player that supports that format!

Ok, then you have a few more options. :)

- try burning at 1x.
- update your version of Nero to the latest one (6.3.1.20, I think).
- check if a more newest firmware is available for your burner.

My guess would be some kind of incompatibility between your burner and the Princos.

Could you post the Nero error log?
C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero
It might be quite long, so make sure to copy the information relevant to the last burn (and not to include the Nero serial number).

I bought a stack of Princo's -R's at CompUSA ($20 for 50) and also found the Nero won't write to them on my LiteOn 812.

To get around this, I burn the Nero compilation to +RW, then use DVDDecrypter to read the +RW in ISO format. DVDDecrypter has no problem writing the ISO file to the Princos, and my Sony Standalones have no problem reading them...

A Geeky solution, but at least my $20 investment isn't lost!
