i am having problems burning dvds ... i have windows xp ... and a plextor px712-a burner ... dvd x copy platinum 3. and i am using fujifilm dvd+r 4x dvds to burn to ... the dvds will read but when they are burned they will either skip very badly, freeze up, or will not even burn all the way ... what can i do to correct this and burn better dvds ???

Scrap the x copy and download DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Decrypter from the software tab of this site. Both are free and will cause a lot less headache. Not to mention there are a lot more people that can help if you have a problem.

If you wanna be successful using XCopy Platinum w/ your plextor px712 .... buy 2.4x media. The reason is because, with XCopy you cannot control the burn. And with yours being a newer burner ... most newer burners burn 4x at 8x, which XCopy has problems with.

i have downloaded DVD Shrink and dvd decryptor ... now how do i use this software to efficiently burn dvds ??? can someone point me in the right direction ... thanks ...
