How to play dvd's with evox installed.

I cant seem to get my xbox to play dvd's anymore. I have modded my xbox and installed evox. I can play burn games fine, but when i try to play a dvd(even a original one) it will not load the disc. Can someone please help me... Thanx...

You will need to install another program to play movies. Xbox Media Player. You may already have the program if you check the launch menu then the apps section of the evox dashboard to see what programs are there. then click on the program and insert the movie.

hello ozy, thanx for the info. i have already downloaded the files for xbmc and i wanted to know do i have to make it into some kind of file or do i just ftp to the xbox and drag the files over. If i only have to ftp and drag the files over how do i do it? do i just make a folder for it and just insert all the files? thanx...

All you have to do is make a folder called Xbox Media Centre in E drive/apps of the xbox and transfer the files inside the folder you downloaded. Disregard the text files that unzip outside this folder. let me know how it went.

ozy i dont have a folder called apps in my E drive. Well i made a folder called apps in my Edrive i draged over the files and still nothing....? not sure what to do...

If I check the files through flashfxp I have the following files which I only upgraded today by deleting what was in the mediaplayer folder of the xbox and replacing with the new files I downloaded today. This is what I have:
from drive E:
Apps:
folder named: Mediaplayer
when I double click on that folder I see folders named:
Albums
Credits
Language
Media
Mplayer
python
recordings
screenshots
scripts
shortcuts
skin
subtitles
Thumbs
visualizations
weather
web
the following files:
default.xbe
filezilla server.xml
keymap.xml
xbmc.log
xbmx.old.log
xbox media centre.xml
if the default.xbe file is not there that probably xplains why it is not working.

I cant find Xbox media player anywhere! the website says it has been discontinued or something.. =( can anyone help me finding it?
