I'm from Iceland. Here a guy from the rental comes home and watches the DVD's with me and my family. If I try to decrypt the disc, this guy keeps stopping me, so I can't decrypt.

It is realy annoying having him in my bedroom while sleeping, so I try to return rented movies same day I rent them - the best trick to copy the movies, is to do so when he is in the WC or when he falls a sleep watching the movie with us. Then it is best not to rent action movies, as they tend to keep him wake! :(

... It's been years since I actually rented a DVD ... Our public library has a much better deal on DVDs .. 1 week at a time, limit 10 DVDs a week ... Price .. free ...

... J-Kwon ... I could swear that in the last picture I saw of that clown, he was wearing an armband with a swastika on it ... How did you ever find a picture of him without it?

Is it really true that it is against the law to copy a dvd rental from a store such as blockbuster video? Somebody mentioned that it could be tracked if you used 123 software. What if i used something like Nero burning. Anyways, how would the store eventually find out where if their orignal copies have been burned or not? The orignals are read only disks. Do the stores have some sort of scanning device to see whether the orignals have been copied?

DVD's are ROM.. but when you rip them, they spin so fast, that a special trigger inside the disc will be triggered (when the disc spins more than 4x speed, all desktop player only spin at 2x)

The video rental will then check that trigger on the disc's on returned disc's. ....
