i have multi mpgs that total around 4.2gb, and i would like to be able to burn them to a dvdr and play in a standard home dvd player. i have done this before with cdr by just creating a svcd in nero and adding multi small mpgs to the cdr. not sure how to do this using dvdr though?

thanx

Hi,

Try running them through TMPGEnc to convert to the proper MPEG-2 and then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a menu and put them into DVD format :)

Here's a neat guide for DVD Author,

I guess the original poster wants to put more
than regular on a dvd ? well, you can downsize the
video resolution, check out your settings in your
encoder, you can set horizontal & vertical resolution
at halve, saves bytes this way, you must experiment.
setting sound freq.bit rate to 44.1 instead of 48
should also be possible, but this you have to check
with your current standalone dvd player.

Bedankt, Thanks,

Fugitive.

Sorry, missunderstoud, you will have no problems,
i guess, since SVCD is also MPEG2, diffence is:
video resolution & sound sample rate,
the easy way to adapt is to remux in your DVD author
prog. just open your mpegs in DVDLab and will make
a playable dvd from this by remuxing it,
only sound is adjusted, you can't or won't have to change the resolution.

Bedankt, Thanks,

Fugitive.
