Which codecs are people using? I'm using DivX fast motion and getting OK results but I'm wondering if there are better ones out there.

DVD2AVI is a frameserver program, don't confuse people by using terms like that.

You meant what AVI video codecs people are using? Best codec is definately DivX v4.12 when encoded with 2-pass technique. For playback, the quality doesn't improve if you use DivX 3 or DivX 4 for playing files encoded with DivX 3.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for any confusion. You may have guessed I'm a newbie with a vast 4 days of ripping behind me! Your advice is appreciated - both the for codec and the frameserver.
