Hello!

I own this drive, it does everything that it should do except for ONE BIG FLAW!

It's the drives inability to change the Book Type for DVD+R media - In other words the drive is making incompatable discs (NO DVD+R play on my PC DVD ROM)

Any Disc info tool tells me the disc is DVD+R.
DVD-R however play like regular DVD's on all my equipment. I am lead to beleive that DVD+R media burned with 'DVD ROM' book type is argubaly the most compatable media?
The drive is dual layer and DL discs are expensive and I don't want to find my DL incompatable because of the drives inability to write a few simple sectors to a DVD+ disc.

I am using the new A104 Firmware which according to LG improves DVD DL Recording quality. I burned an iso with the latest DVD Decrypter, it has a function to change 'book type' to DVD ROM to enhance DVD+R media, The program registeres a success at doing this but simply my trusty Toshiba DVD Rom won't play the DISC: Nero reports the dvd as +R (It reports DVD-R as DVD ROM) hence good compatability.

Is there anyone that knows a fix or perhaps modified firmware? What is LG Upto, I wish I know more about this BEFORE BUYING THE DRIVE!!.
Surely LG can't expect one of their Flagship DVD writers to such a horrible flaw? I have heard about a NOAD firmware. does it work and where can I get it?
